Dying Light 2 is defined around 15 years after the events of the first chapter: some things have changed, those infected in the first place. The plague evolved and had disastrous consequences.
The demonstration begins at Fish Eye, a tavern run by our friend Frank, where a round table must take place between the various factions of the game to solve an extremely urgent problem: the lack of drinking water.
Things inevitably degenerate and Frank, our friend and middleman, is cowardly dead. Then our race for the assassins, members of the Forsaken, begins in an attempt to avenge poor Frank.
In addition to the "spicciola" plot, the demo was set up ad hoc to show the main characteristics of Dying Light 2.
Parkour is confirmed, as well as an essential and characteristic element, a sight for the eyes. The animations have improved and the number of jumps and movements has increased considerably. In the hands of an experienced joystick, you can literally become impregnable.
To make it even more interesting, there is the "good" addition of the parachute, which allows us not to hurt ourselves too much and create possible new escape solutions.
The fight remains as brutal as the first chapter; in addition to the many bladed weapons, we note with pleasure adding Scorpion, a similar rifle that, if it lacks ammunition, can be used on the football side as a terrible two-handed hammer.
At the end of the demonstration, we can see the much vaunted scope of our choices and their consequences. The default choice projects us into a completely new scenario for Dying Light 2, a scenario that would have been extremely different (and inaccessible afterwards) had we taken a different path.
After about 30 minutes of showing, Tymon says two words about cooperative mode. We already knew that it would be possible to play Dying Light 2 up to 4 online; what we didn’t know is that we can switch from one player to multiplayer as we prefer, with one but: in the case of online play, the world we’re playing in will be the host’s world.
