Haikyū !! is a manga series written and illustrated by Haruichi Furudate. It has been serialized in the Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine of the Shūeisha publishing house since February 20, 2012 and is currently still being published. The manga initially started as a one-shot published in the weekly magazine Jump NEXT !, also part of Shūeisha. Twenty-nine volumes have been launched to date, and it has been licensed in the United States by VIZ Media.
On April 6, 2014, an adaptation to the series of anime produced by the studio Production I.G began to be broadcast, ending in September of that same year. Its second season began on October 3, 2015.3 A third season began airing on October 8, 2016. Also, a play and four anime compilation movies have been announced.
